The For Your Marriage campaign has launched a new round of television and radio public service announcements with the theme, “A good marriage goes a long way.” The campaign is a major activity of the U.S. Catholic Bishops’ priority to strengthen marriage and family.
The spots feature real married couples answering questions such as “How many people does your marriage touch?” and “What’s the best thing about being married?”
The spots will be released in three waves over the next year. The first TV spot, “Marriage Takes Teamwork,” can be viewed on the For Your Marriage homepage. The radio spots can be downloaded here. The spots have been sent to approximately 700 television stations and 1,200 radio stations around the country.
The campaign follows the successful 2007 PSA campaign that asked married couples, “What have you done for your marriage today?” The radio spots received 179,453 reported broadcasts and 438 million audience impressions. Television spots received 68,023 reported broadcasts and 700 million audience impressions. The For Your Marriage website has received 6,086,700 page views and 1,101,757 unique visitors since its launch and received first place Thoth award from the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America in September 2011.
